Title: PC furniture on fire / computer screen burst in flames
Post by: Kiriakos GR on October 11, 2022, 09:44:23 AM
My new find of the day this is no other than PC furniture for children's PC.
But in my surprise, a closer inspection clearly indicates that the computer screen this burst in flames.

I am not in position to be aware of specific computer screen brand and model, so to congratulate the factory.   :P

My golden advice: Always waste your money over well known branded products = Lesser percentage to see your home in flames.

We should exclude DELL from the list, these have a square base.  :)

A third cause could be angry gamer and vandalism of the poor screen, so the father to be forced to buy a new :P

Monitor base seems 100% circular, and there is wood burning this be extended to oval shape.
True, you do not see such a find every day.  :)

What next? Burn-proof sticker over PC screen ...  ;D

What bothers me, by thinking to reuse it, this is the poor design of this furniture.

Top plate seems capable to handle over 100KG of weight.
But lower plate (poor quality of wood) attacked with side screws, this cannot handle more than 15KG.

In summary, weight support ratio (top plate & lower plate) this is wrong.
My first thought was using it for my heavy UPS with external car batteries, and its not possible if I did not modify this furniture.
Installing a metal plate instead, it might be the solution.   :)
