Since 9/2023 SIGLENT Technologies Co.,Ltd, it does hit the drams about the release of SDM4065A and SDM4065A-SC bench-top DMM.
This new comer series, has nothing to do with a mainstream and or a usual bench-top DMM.
DCV basic accuracy:
35 PPM (8846A 6.5 digit precision multimeter, 24 ppm)
AC/DC Current measurement
10A (only).
SDM4000A series this aim primarily production line testing.SDM4065A-SC includes 16 channel scanning card (12 multi-function channels + 4 current channels).
Most of it functionality it is reviewed due PC software, and this is good because SIGLENT did not succeed to offer an easy to see or read, graphic user interface.
Only the primary measured quantity it has large enough digits so to be seen from a distance.
And therefore this fresh digitized DMM, it should be connected with a PC, for any long term data analysis.
DMM for production line testing, along scanner cards this is a sector that Keithley is there for about 15 years, and GW Instek also introduced similar series, nine years ago.
I do not believe that SDM4000A series will earn popularity within the European union, and especially as
all-around high precision DMM.
Even up to date there is no direct competitor of FLUKE 8846A.
While FLUKE 8846A this is recently retired, FLUKE Calibration in the USA still loves using it, even if they now have a more high end model in their hands.
