I am Sick and Tired burning my 630mA 10x38 HRC fast acting fuse, because my low voltage circuit makes a spike when power on.
This afternoon I did burn two of such fuses while testing tantalum capacitors consumption by having active limiter at my power supply at just 150mA.
From amount of five unbranded caps one was bad apple, at 35V test this sorted and current spike took away one of my precious 630mA fuse inside of my HIOKI DT4282.
I am now decided and determined to cut down such losses by finding fuses with some more higher current handling ability but not to go extreme and use as replacement 1A fuse.
HIOKI DT4282 this using an very unpopular 630mA 10x38 HRC this be made by HOLLY Fuse in China, and this brand it is quite unpopular also regarding exports and worldwide cooperation.
HIOKI DT4282 comes with 630mA fuse and has max measuring mA range at 600.00 mA
BBS 3/4 this is 0.75A fuse at 600V (fast acting) and a much promising solution in my eyes for the specific class of HIOKI multimeter.
Because BBS 3/4 this is somewhat unpopular in market demand and this is now rather sweeter priced than more popular 440mA 1000V DMM fuse part, I am now aiming for it.
For now I did replace burned 630mA HOLLY Fuse temporarily with 440mA 1000V , but I am ready to order my pack of five BBS 3/4 750mA 600V and solve my problem.
