Intro:

Fluke View Forms 3.3 (CD disc) this is product released at 2009,  Fluke View Forms 3.6 update this came at 2011 and Fluke View Forms 3.8 this came at 2014.
All four models (8845A, 8846A, DMM4040, DMM4050) precision 6 1/2 digits DMM, they should be configured at Fluke 45 mode.

Fluke 45 Serial Communication Mode this is used for compatibility purposes, software commands they are identically understood by any multimeter this using Fluke 45 emulation mode.
In the negative side of things, such a software commands emulation mode, this using only commands for measurement data retrieval due the software.

In the positive side of things,  your multimeter in hardware controls ( buttons) they are alive and available to use for setting-up measuring function of choice, range selection, measuring digits resolution, filters and impedance.

Within 2019, and while Fluke 45 multimeter this is ancient technology,  this Fluke 45 communication system it is a very smart made interactive communications protocol.

Fluke View Forms 3.8 upgrade

Version 3.8 includes several improvements and new features over version 3.6:

* Modified Logging Setup for the Fluke 45, 8808A, 8845A/8846A: the default relative threshold floor or fixed threshold values to be based on the current reading values from the instrument.
* Modified communications with the Fluke 8845A/8846A to prevent activating the instrument 'ERROR' annunciator when there is no second function.
