Solar multimeter ? How many are they ?
« on: January 08, 2013, 08:53:48 PM »
I just spotted the first Solar powered multimeter from a recognizable brand like Hioki.
And I like to share the picture of the Hioki 3245-60C.

If you ever spot something similar, post a link or picture it in this thread.
No many manufactures takes the risk to present solar powered meters, even in 2013.

From serious manufatures i didn see anything yet.
In HIOKI model on your post, I observed the tips of test leads, according new safety rules.

Yes the link points to the known to me Uni-T model which comes with an super capacitor instead of a rechargeable battery.

From the other hand, those Hioki test leads they did attract my view due the fact that this design does not has finger guards.
But I will not risk to criticize this detail, I do not own the IEC 61010 Third edition, so to compare exact specifications VS the product it self.
