APC by Schneider Electric, wrote an announcement back at 18-8-2015, that it stops supplying Serial Cable RS-232 to RJ-50, as standard shipped accessory.
( in an effort to minimize e-waste )
What APC skipped to say, was the name of the decision maker whom though to stop adding at UPS production line DB9, and use instead an cheaper RJ-50 female?
Too many wrong decisions, all in favor of cost savings for APC by Schneider Electric than saving the planet.
At minimum the RS-232 port over the UPS this it should come with DB9 female connector, even if a free of charge cable this were not provided.
This is a picture of this RS-232 cable, along with a link, regarding pin-out information.
https://pinoutguide.com/UPS/apc_0625_cable_pinout.shtmlRS-232 it might be old, but in applications that require maximum electrical isolation between PC and UPS communication ports, an pair of wireless RS-232 modules, it might be an ideal solution as alternative.
