For a first time I am now exploring Thermal imager PC software / thermal analysis.
And I did an interesting find, thermal imager camera this store images at 96dpi, while all PC monitor they default at 72dpi for digital photographs review.
When a digital image of 96dpi this is reviewed at a system adjusted for 72dpi, the thermal image appears more enlarged.
For example at 640 x 480 thermal imager resolution, when images reviewed at Windows PC, 23.5" of PC monitor dimensions this seems as not enough of space at 1:1 or 100% of zoom setting.
At a second example, at 384 × 288 thermal imager resolution, 23.5" of PC monitor dimensions, this seems as enough as working space, because the actual image visual dimensions they are actually smaller.
Both comparison include thermal analysis software along the review window within the software editor.
Feel free to perform an experiment by your self. Take your digital camera, set it to low resolution 640 x 480 / manual mode, take a photograph.
Use now one advance digital software editor, select size and boost image resolution for 72dpi to 96dpi.
Now your
640 x 480 image this has been changed and enlarged to
853 x 640 Lesson learned, If I ever get paired with 640 x 480 thermal imager sensor, my PC monitor has to grow too at 24" as minimum.
