I was searching YouTube for something else and I landed over a comment about
Fluke TL175 TwistGuard test leads resistance.
It was actually a complain posted by a user at FLUKE.
At my product samples collection, there is also my TL175 TwistGuard, Fluke gave this to me back in time, along with the
CNX3000 industrial kit.
With so many other test leads in my lab, my TL175 TwistGuard this is still new and unused.
I gave it a good clean with Isopropyl alcohol, let them get dry, and then I use a female banana coupler, so both banana plug to have some exercise, so their contact resistance to become optimal.
With clean tips and clean banana plugs, its time for evaluation of test leads resistance.
My HIOKI RM3542A this measured approximately
44 mOhm per lead, and both leads combined with the banana coupler in the circuit, the resistance this become double.
98% of HH DMM, resistance value of 100 mOhm and lower this is close to impossible to be measured.
HIOKI RM3542A this is still best in class, for measurements of current sense resistors and of many more, with a high in digits resolution.
I will leave at the photographs, these to explain all other details.
