FRANZUS F-11 voltage converter 50W auto transformer 240V 120V Year 1996

I do not even remember how or when I got this FRANZUS F-11, an 50W auto transformer, 240V AC step-down to 120V AC.

Never had any product packaging, Google search helped me just a bit.
FRANZUS F-11 this a product which circulated at both sides of the pond.
FRANZUS appears as American branding, but yes it roots it is Asian.   

FRANZUS F-11 this is step-down model.
FRANZUS F-22 this is step-up model.
50W rate this is considered as Max,  it paper work mention 35W continues.
It was designed as travel  smart accessory for Men, about shaving machines, portable radios, and small gadgets with out power selector.

My FRANZUS F-11 this has a label, Made in Honk Kong.
The ones at American market they claim American manufacturing.

I did some testing to it, so discover if this is an isolation transformer along step-down, but no, this is a plain 50W auto transformer.
Live phase this pass thru from it.
Test results:
With input 236V, 75mA AC current, PF 0.130, Stand By Power 2.36W (no load connected).

FRANZUS has or had several similar travel adapter, F-11 its the smallest in Watt.
In the past 24 years the world changed, we all now use 90V ~ 240V AC pulsing PSU.

Auto transformer concept this is not dead yet, It might not considered any more as travel companion, but it can serve at other applications.
