U1272A Keysight - Agilent this is delivered at consumer hands with
440mA HRC fuse from
SIBA 50 210 06.0.44 (long as train part code).
(High Rupturing Capacity (HRC) Fuses)
Thanks to latest documentation from SIBA (2020) I did succeed to make and actual comparison VS BUSSMANN DMM-B-44/100.
I did worked over two hours so to create
my own masterpiece Chart. Start of the chart is from one second duration and to lower timing.
I was researching so to find, if any of these products has any better behavior at inrush current = harder to get burned.
We the blessed ones having an Oscilloscope and be experts, we are aware that pulsing PSU, these require at
time domain approximately 20mS, so internal capacitors to be charged.
Now we can inspect FUSES Chart
time domain.
According to these new DATA, its obvious that no matter if SIBA looks as more generous at fast timings, the truth is that in the application that matters, that is pulsing PSU inrush current.
BUSSMANN
DMM-B-44/100 this is proven even with slightly margin, to be more generous at the
time domain that matters.
At 20mS you get plus 200mA approximate strength from the BUSSMANN.
Another inrush application, this is Resistors inrush current.
This might be similar to a spike at the time domain of few microseconds.
In real life, I have burned recently two HRC 440mA fuses due pulsing PSU inrush current.
And never ever, a single fuse, because of Resistors inrush current in my entire life.
