People, I have mixed feelings about this tool.
For example, not all HH DMM has been build equally regarding fuse compartment.
For example:
U1272A / U1273A, they have HRC clip holder made of tremendously hard metal.
HIOKI DT4482 fuse clip this is made of softer metal, and or the distance from the PCB this is longer, and this aloud it to flex more?
About FLUKE DMM, I have now the 8846A.
And the CNX3000 HH DMM, this has only 440mA Fuse.
My thoughts, according to DMM models in your ownership, your are going to need a totally different tool / fuse extraction approach.
For U1272A / U1273A, they are by design, a plastic slot per fuse, so a screwdriver to do the work. (clips side).
For HIOKI DT4482, the screwdriver this should be placed at the right side, this pushing upwards entire fuse body.
For Fluke 8846A, this has special fuses compartment, I will classify at DMM that fuses replacement its easy.
For ancient FLUKE 87 you have to take the meter apart.
I made my DIY tool, from a hard spring.
This might do the job in anything other that the U1272..
I just insert the hook side ways at the HRC fuse end, then slightly rotate it, and then I do a pull action.
