That's an interesting database and may be worth a check if you want to buy some low-price-.stuff. I am sure they won't find out everything that is malfunctioning, but ok.....
As these meters don't even meet Low Voltage Regulations, I really don't want to think about somebody plugging them into the mains!!

once again it shows clearly that the CE marks doesn't provide you any kind of security. Watch out for TÜV, GS, LLoyd's if you want a mark or at least check some internet resources.
If a company is DIN/ISO certified that also just tells you they are running a quality management system. How much they care about this system you won't get told.
I saw a lot of Chinese companies wanting to claim some quality level through CE, DIN/ISO or some local Chinese environmental policies. So they are aware of customers checking for that ;)

The justification about the specific recall has to do mostly about the quality of the test leads,
and both of those cases was in Spain.

What matters is that the new EU regulations are active, and the penalties too. ;)

This event has also significant value for the ITTSB, which targets at the promotion in a way, of the reliable ones.
