The word sliced is not actually perfect as description for the presentation of those pictures below.
Today I was contacting some measurements and I was in need for 50 Ohm termination, my cheap trick instead of buying a feed thru one at about 40 Euro, is to use this BNC T-type plug and a common terminator resistor.
Actually I have four of those BNC terminators in my collection from the old times ( computer networks with RG-58 ).
But just today realized that two of those are bad ones.
The rear resistor part is freely spinning around when the part is plugged..
Therefore I did grab the opportunity before toss them away so to perform a bit of surgery.
The bad news other than their physical damage is their build quality too, the internal resistor is just attached with the central pin and also it connection with the metallic body is also a matter of luck, due the fact that is not soldered.
